Thank you for your interest in supporting our wildfire relief efforts. Your time and dedication will directly impact displaced families as they rebuild their lives and homes.

Important Details:

• Volunteer Tasks:
  Volunteers will assist with a range of tasks, including:

  • Inventorying: Sorting, labeling, and organizing donations to ensure everything is accounted for.
  • Cleaning Up: Keeping the workspace tidy and organized during and after shifts.
  • Administrative Support: Checking in volunteers, managing sign-in sheets, and assisting with general event coordination.
  • Movers: Helping to lift and transport items within the space or to designated locations (some tasks may involve moderate lifting).
  • Restocking: Ensuring supplies and donations are properly distributed and replenished as needed.
  • Errands: Running light errands to support event needs (e.g., picking up supplies or delivering items).
  • Design Assistance: We are seeking designers to help wildfire survivors with space planning, selecting, and coordinating donated items to fit their needs and homes. A designer’s eye can help bring warmth and functionality to these new spaces!

• Arrival Time: Please arrive 15 minutes early for check-in and orientation. Tasks will be assigned based on your comfort level and the event’s needs.

• What to Wear: Dress comfortably in clothes you don’t mind getting dusty. Closed-toe shoes are required for safety. Layers are recommended as temperatures may vary.

• What to Bring: A reusable water bottle is encouraged (water stations will be available). Light snacks will be provided, but feel free to bring your own.

• Physical Requirements: Some tasks may involve standing, walking, or moderate lifting. If you have any limitations, let us know in advance so we can assign tasks accordingly.
